St. John's Co-Cathedral
St. John's Co-Cathedral was built by the Knights of Malta between 1572 and 1577 and transformed inside into one of the finest Baroque interiors in Europe, its floor a carpet of marble tomb-slabs. Its oratory holds Caravaggio's monumental 'Beheading of Saint John the Baptist', his largest work and the only one he signed.
