1. Introduction
This policy explains how candle.direct uses cookies and similar technologies. We keep this to a minimum: we use only what is needed to make the site work and to remember your own preferences. We do not use advertising, marketing or third-party analytics/tracking cookies.
2. What are cookies and local storage?
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device and reads back on later visits. “Local storage” is a similar browser mechanism that keeps small pieces of data in your browser only, without sending them to a server. We use both, as described below.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. No consent is required for them.

4. Functional local storage
To remember your choices we store a little data in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device only and is not sent to us.

5. Third parties
When you make a payment, our payment provider’s own pages may set cookies governed by their policy. If you share a candle, the social network or messaging app you use is a separate service with its own cookies. We do not control those cookies.
6. Consent
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies and functional local storage, no cookie-consent banner is legally required. If we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
7. Managing and deleting cookies
You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Note that if you block the strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site may not work properly.
