St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town
St. George's Cathedral is the Anglican mother church of Cape Town, designed by Sir Herbert Baker and begun in 1901. Under Archbishop Desmond Tutu it became a rallying point of the anti-apartheid struggle, earning the name the 'People's Cathedral', and remains a symbol of reconciliation in South Africa.
