Our Lady of Saidnaya Monastery
The Monastery of Our Lady of Saidnaya, founded in the 6th century according to tradition under the Emperor Justinian, is one of the oldest and most venerated Marian shrines in the Christian East. Perched on a rock above the town, it has long been a place of pilgrimage for Christians and Muslims seeking the intercession of the Virgin.
