House of the Virgin Mary

The House of the Virgin Mary (Meryem Ana Evi) is a small stone shrine on Mount Koressos near Ephesus, honoured by Catholics and Muslims alike as the place where Mary spent her final years. A quiet place of pilgrimage, it has been visited and blessed by several popes and draws visitors of many faiths who come to pray and light candles.
