Cathedral of Santa María la Menor
The Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, begun in 1512 and completed in 1540, is the oldest cathedral in the Americas, blending Gothic and Renaissance forms. Standing in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it marks the beginnings of Christianity in the New World.
