Assumption Cathedral, Bangkok
Assumption Cathedral is the principal Catholic church of Thailand, rebuilt in its present red-brick Romanesque form in 1918 near the Chao Phraya river. With its twin towers and richly decorated interior, it is the seat of the Archdiocese of Bangkok and hosted Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis on their visits to the kingdom.
